For Social and Impact Enterprises to emerge and grow, it's not enough to have people who believe they can transform realities; they need an ecosystem that supports and guides them. The Tandil Impact Taskforce was created to foster the development of the local Impact Ecosystem.

The Tandil Impact Taskforce is an interdisciplinary meeting space established in May 2023 to promote, foster, and empower businesses and enterprises that generate a positive impact on people and the planet in our city.

It emerged as an initiative of a group of people convinced that Impact Businesses can be a driving force for transformation, and it gradually attracted more participants aligned with the vision of change stemming from businesses with a positive impact. The Tandil Impact Taskforce shares ideas, projects, lessons learned, issues, and opportunities to strengthen the local Impact Ecosystem.

The concept of “Impact Taskforce” emerged from the development work of Impact Ecosystems that EKHOS has been promoting since 2017. From the experience of connecting with more developed Impact Ecosystems, such as those in India, France, the United Kingdom, and even other Latin American countries, the organization understood that the fact that Social and Impact Enterprises prosper is largely thanks to the support they receive from their Ecosystem .

The Impact Ecosystem is the space or platform where the actors (organizations and individuals) that comprise it come together and interact, producing and marketing goods and services, and raising resources to achieve their objectives. It is the space in which to transcend organizational objectives to build a shared vision and facilitate the conditions and values that make us feel part of a community. It is comprised of the public and private sectors, third-sector organizations, chambers and associations, the media, incubators and accelerators, investment funds, multilateral organizations, among others.

The first taskforce created was in Río Cuarto, promoted by Virginia Romero. It already has a notable track record, with its members developing internal training, training for local entrepreneurs, and even developing an ordinance to promote Positive Impact Businesses in their city. They have also had the opportunity to train people from other cities with the intention of replicating the Taskforce-building format, such as in Bahia Blanca and Villa Mercedes, among others.

The purpose of the Impact Taskforce, and the spirit that prevails in Tandil, is to build a multisectoral community that can contribute value to the transformation of cities' social, environmental, economic, and cultural challenges. The working dynamic consists of monthly meetings where ideas and information about the ecosystem are shared, and the agenda of activities is set. Participation is voluntary, and decisions are made democratically and by consensus. It is a space where all those eager to contribute to the local ecosystem are welcome, regardless of their level of knowledge of the subject, prior experience, political beliefs, socioeconomic status, or religion.

Since its formation, the Tandil Impact Taskforce has participated in the Impact Ecosystem meeting organized by EKHOS within the framework of the E3i (Triple Impact Meeting) in the City of Buenos Aires, which sought to create an opportunity to share experiences with other leading impact taskforce, networks, and communities in the country. It has also conducted internal training sessions and is currently developing new ones. It co-created and facilitated the "Learning to Undertake with Impact" workshop within the framework of FLAMA, with the goal of providing tools to local entrepreneurs who want to incorporate positive impact into their business models.

Among the local impact startups and companies that are part of the Tandil Impact Taskforce are EKHOS, Ng Ambiental, MV Agroalimentaria, Treeeco, 21 Entorno, Revestimientos Gregui, 3C Tandil, Oui Sano Almacén, Bosco Si!, Coaching Inteligente, Marcas que Marcan, among others.

In addition to these activities, the various actors in the local impact ecosystem and the initiatives being developed around entrepreneurship with impact have also begun to be identified. A new workshop on Entrepreneurship with Positive Impact is being developed, which will be held as part of Flama 2024.
