As the number of startups and companies seeking to do business with a positive impact on people and the planet grows, so does the interest in learning how to achieve this. The Tandil Impact Roundtable brings a dynamic proposal to raise awareness of this approach, right from our city.

In May 2023, a group of people interested in promoting businesses with social and environmental impact founded the Tandil Impact Roundtable. Inspired by the Río IV Impact Roundtable, promoted by EKHOS, this interdisciplinary space seeks to strengthen and empower companies and ventures that generate a positive impact on people and the planet. It shares ideas, projects, lessons learned, issues, and opportunities to boost the local Impact Ecosystem.
The Roundtable holds various meetings that allow members to connect, get to know each other, understand the local context, and thus identify opportunities to develop joint initiatives. Among the local impact startups and companies that make up the Tandil Impact Roundtable are NG Ambiental, MV Agroalimentaria, Treeeco, 21 Entorno, Revestimientos Gregui, 3C Tandil, Oui Sano Almacén, Dugenta, Coaching Inteligente, Marcas que Marcan, Taliana Eventos, and others.

This multisectoral space is essential to strengthening the local Impact Ecosystem, as it does not depend on a single institution or sector, but rather on the collaborative effort of all its members. The Impact Roundtable includes individuals from the public, business, academic, consulting, artistic, non-profit, and chamber sectors, among others. This diversity of experiences and perspectives allows for enriching conversations that are representative of the needs of our society, integrating perspectives, areas of action, and collaborative work consensus.
Last year, during Knowledge Week organized by FLAMA, the Impact Roundtable held a workshop on "Learning to Start a Business with Impact." During this event, participants shared knowledge about what it means to start a business with social, environmental, and economic impact. Group work dynamics were held to encourage participants to question and reflect on how to generate positive impact in their ventures or identify the impact they were already generating.
Although many companies want to contribute to the well-being of the planet and improve opportunities for all, a lack of knowledge about how to do so can be an obstacle. With the goal of providing tools and clarity, this year the Impact Roundtable will offer a workshop for people who lead or work in local businesses and startups, inviting them to learn about specific cases in our city that have already implemented positive practices for people and the planet. The workshop participants will be present to share their experiences.

The "Entrepreneurship with Positive Impact" workshop will take place on Wednesday, November 6th at 5:00 PM, during FLAMA Week, in the Globant Auditorium, Pinto 968, ground floor, Tandil. Participation is free and open to both entrepreneurs and other local stakeholders interested in the topic.
