From November 18th to 22nd, People and Planet First Week is being celebrated, a global initiative that puts people and the planet first when thinking about business. As part of this week, which seeks to highlight the potential for transforming lives and protecting the environment while building sustainable communities, T+ACTIVA, a sustainability event, was held in our city.

T+ACTIVA was created with the intention of conducting community waste collection and promoting awareness of sustainable practices that can be adopted in everyday life. It was organized by Mirador Tandil, Grupo Rocas, Marcas que Marcan, 3C Tandil, and the City's Environmental Department, as an example of how public-private partnerships aimed at positive impact can yield significant results.
Although the event was scheduled for Sunday, November 24th, it was held over two days. The event began on that day with a panel discussion featuring impact entrepreneurs from the city who use recyclable materials as input to create products: Revestimientos Gregui, which makes plastic concrete; Harta Pacha, which creates accessories from pools, inflatables, umbrellas, and other inputs; and Pilar Gómez, who makes clothing from industrial waste through Yamana. Viviana Menendez of MV Agroalimentaria and Juan Farinati of Treeeco, both members of the Tandil Impact Roundtable, then led a workshop on sustainable habits we can adopt in our daily lives. The City's Environmental Department explained the recycling process for materials voluntarily donated to the Clean Points and how it connects with other organizations for their marketing. The importance of engaging and involving citizens, how our city's waste is valued, how the Clean Points operate, and the importance of involving citizens and taking responsibility for the waste each person generates. A section was also set aside where the Mameluco kindergarten provided various recycled items to facilitate play and sustainability activities for children.

After the talks and workshops, a "Clean Up" was scheduled to be held in groups in different areas of the Dam, but weather conditions forced this part of the event to be postponed until the following Saturday, November 30th. Finally, with sunny weather, the collection was successfully completed, removing 15 bags of trash from our surroundings. The event concluded with beers from one of the sponsors, Cervecería Delpech, at the Mirador facilities.
This activity was made possible thanks to the support of various sponsors who joined this unique initiative. “At CeresTolvas, we are motivated to be part of these initiatives that seek to positively contribute to our community. Through these collaborative actions, we are promoting good practices to care for our environment in an increasingly sustainable way. We are very grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to participate,” said Leonardo Duringer, General Manager of CeresTolvas.
Also joining the effort were Redimec, HUNE (a technology accessories company made from recycled plastic), La Chacra, Banco Credicoop, Okapi Viajes, Agrobolsas, Las Pircas, and distribution partners El Eco Multimedios, Zeballos Publicidad, and Nielsen.

Two key players in the event's development were Taliana Eventos, led by Natalia Román Domenican, which supported the initiative's implementation, and the Tandil Impact Roundtable, which was involved in designing the talks and workshops and recruited its team as volunteers.
T+ACTIVA has concluded its first edition, but it aims to be the first of many, with the goal of continuing to strengthen the local Impact Ecosystem. To participate in the next edition in 2025, whether to participate in the collection, as a volunteer in the organization, or as a sponsor, registration is available at tandilactiva.com.
